History.... |
Alpha Publishing, Inc. was originally
established in 1989 in Tampa, FL and published telephone directories for Air Force and
Navy bases in Florida. The Government Set-Aside Directory was developed by Alpha
Publishing, Inc. along with several purchasing agents at MacDill AFB, Tampa, FL. We
successfully published Government Set-Aside Directories in Florida and Virginia until 1992
when our Founder/President Thomas Setaro passed away.
In 1996 Louise Setaro, Tom’s wife, was made aware of the streamlined federal
purchasing procedures (Paying with credit cards, less paperwork, no bidding under $2,500,
etc) and re-opened API in 1997. |

| It is our primary goal to help small
businesses reap their fair share of the Federal funds set-aside for them, and to assist
them through the process of registration and marketing to the Federal Government. It
is also our goal to help Federal purchasing departments save tax dollars by doing business
locally saving on out-of-state freight charges and per diem. |

Since 1997 we have published Government
Set-Aside Directories in all 50 states. Our directories are used
by purchasing agents all across America. Some agencies use the
directories as training tools for new buyers.
